I’m thankful for another year with such a strong and sweet church family. Our deacons and I mostly look back on continuing our mainstays fruitfully:
Worship has been warmly responded to, once again featuring music of our Praise Team that enhances the theme and message so memorably. While our Trustees kept our building in excellent shape.
Our 9:30 Sunday School / Bible study featured Forgiving What You Can’t Forget and Ephesians before the first season of The Chosen Gospels video / study.
Coffee House continued to be lots of fun with remarkable music and to be a consistent outreach. We always are accompanied by some guests outside our Sunday morning congregation.
For the fourth year, we hosted the Community Choral concerts, spring and Christmas, with a full house attending, and some of these friends frequently continuing with us for Coffee House.
Men’s Breakfast has continued as a vital monthly fellowship (whenever holidays or weather did not stop us). And once again we enjoyed hosting our lovely sisters at the Mother’s Day Breakfast.
With all the continuity, 2025 was also a year of renewal. We have been especially thankful since the summer for several new and faithful friends from Ogdensburg Presbyterian, who have been a gracious blessing and breath of fresh air. Along with a handful of new friends (or who renewed involvement with us) who starting coming from other places as well.
We continued to offer significant and appreciated support to several mission efforts, local and far away. While locally, Grace’s Pantry effectively expanded outreach efforts through Doug and a dedicated staff of volunteers including some of our folks.
Two verses to share. First from Isaiah 46: The Lord says, I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. For all who faced crisis or loss during the past year, our source and guide also promises to sustain us thru the darkest valleys.
And from Acts 3, where Peter urged, “Turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” I trust that this past year, you have experienced our Lord’s sustaining as well as his refreshing to move ahead into this new season.
